ISLE OF MULL SPORTS FACILITIES AT
GARMONY, Near CRAIGNURE
The Isle of Mull Rugby Club is a fully constituted community sports club. As the Isle of Mull had no sports facilities the club has built from scratch at Garmony a well drained grass playing field with two pitches, changing rooms, a community room, car parking and training floodlights. Garmony is the only playing field and changing rooms on the Isle of Mull and these facilities are made available for all sports and activities.
Garmony is used or has been used by, rugby, football, shinty, athletics, hockey, school sports, preparation for the Special Games by the Mull Resource Centre, motor cross, half marathon, the Red Cross, fun days, sports development camps, weddings, meetings and so on.
The Rugby Club has embarked on an improvements campaign. The club has paid for a feasibility and design report. The report has been acted on and the required planning permissions and building warrants obtained. These improvements will the benefit the whole community.
